Responsibilities
- Design, architect, and build vulnerability-management scanning infrastructure and tools (Rapid7, Tenable).
- Conduct Rapid7 and Tenable vulnerability scans across diverse networks.
- Analyze scan results via reports and dashboards to identify, assess, and prioritize risk.
- Evaluate security vulnerabilities, determine impact, develop mitigation strategies, and implement remediation.
- Perform intelligence research on CVEs, vendor hardware/software vulnerabilities, and present concise technical overviews to team members and customers.
- Automate vulnerability-management tasks using Python and PowerShell.
- Perform data analysis in Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Provide oral and written reports on vulnerability risk to technical stakeholders.
- Analyze Cybersecurity documentation (security policies, plans, procedures).
Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of Cybersecurity experience.
- Strong knowledge of CVEs, CVSS, vector strings, NVD, MITRE, attack vectors, and mitigations.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Rapid7 and Tenable vulnerability-management tools.
- Experience with scripting (Python, PowerShell) and Excel data analysis.
- Experience with Windows and Linux servers.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational and analytical skills.
Qualifications
- Certifications: CISSP, GSEC, GCIA, GCIH, CEH, CWAPT (or equivalent).
- Knowledge of security best practices across multiple platforms (Microsoft Windows, VMware, Linux, VPN, Cisco IOS, Android/iOS).
- Familiarity with next-generation firewalls, IDS/IPS, DMZ, IPSec, DNS, SMTP, HTTP, VPN, proxies.
- Understanding of public-key cryptography, encoding, encryption, and hashing techniques.
- Knowledge of security frameworks: NIST, CIS, Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Checkpoint, F5.
