About the Role
We're looking for experienced security practitioners to help evaluate and improve AI systems that reason about real-world vulnerability management. Your expertise in CVEs, exposure analysis, and remediation workflows will directly shape how AI understands and responds to cybersecurity risk.
What You'll Do
- Analyze vulnerability reports, CVEs, and exposure scenarios across infrastructure and application environments
- Assess severity, exploitability, impact, and recommend appropriate remediation strategies
- Review and evaluate AI-generated reasoning around patching, mitigation, and risk prioritization decisions
- Generate, label, and validate realistic security scenarios used to train and benchmark AI systems
- Apply your practical understanding of what actually matters in production — not just theoretical risk scores
Who You Are
- 2+ years of experience in vulnerability management, security operations, or infrastructure security
- Familiar with CVEs, vulnerability scanners, patching workflows, and risk prioritization frameworks (e.g., CVSS, EPSS, SSVC)
- Able to distinguish between theoretical risk and real-world exploitability in production environments
- A structured, analytical thinker who communicates clearly in writing
- Comfortable working independently and asynchronously on task-based assignments
Nice to Have
- Experience with tools like Tenable, Qualys, Rapid7, or Defender for Endpoint
- Background in threat intelligence, red teaming, or incident response
- Familiarity with cloud security environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Prior experience with AI training, data labeling, or evaluation workflows
Why Join Us
- Work directly on frontier AI systems with leading research labs
- Fully remote and flexible — work on your own schedule
- Freelance perks: autonomy, variety, and global collaboration
- Apply your real-world security expertise to a high-impact, emerging field
- Potential for ongoing work and contract extension
