About the Role

We're looking for experienced security practitioners to help evaluate and improve AI systems that reason about real-world vulnerability management. Your expertise in CVEs, exposure analysis, and remediation workflows will directly shape how AI understands and responds to cybersecurity risk.

What You'll Do

  • Analyze vulnerability reports, CVEs, and exposure scenarios across infrastructure and application environments
  • Assess severity, exploitability, impact, and recommend appropriate remediation strategies
  • Review and evaluate AI-generated reasoning around patching, mitigation, and risk prioritization decisions
  • Generate, label, and validate realistic security scenarios used to train and benchmark AI systems
  • Apply your practical understanding of what actually matters in production — not just theoretical risk scores

Who You Are

  • 2+ years of experience in vulnerability management, security operations, or infrastructure security
  • Familiar with CVEs, vulnerability scanners, patching workflows, and risk prioritization frameworks (e.g., CVSS, EPSS, SSVC)
  • Able to distinguish between theoretical risk and real-world exploitability in production environments
  • A structured, analytical thinker who communicates clearly in writing
  • Comfortable working independently and asynchronously on task-based assignments

Nice to Have

  • Experience with tools like Tenable, Qualys, Rapid7, or Defender for Endpoint
  • Background in threat intelligence, red teaming, or incident response
  • Familiarity with cloud security environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Prior experience with AI training, data labeling, or evaluation workflows

Why Join Us

  • Work directly on frontier AI systems with leading research labs
  • Fully remote and flexible — work on your own schedule
  • Freelance perks: autonomy, variety, and global collaboration
  • Apply your real-world security expertise to a high-impact, emerging field
  • Potential for ongoing work and contract extension
