About the Role

We partner with the world's leading AI research labs to build smarter, safer AI systems — and we need experienced security professionals to help get there. As a Vulnerability Management Analyst, you'll bring your real-world knowledge of CVEs, exposure management, and remediation workflows to directly shape how frontier AI models reason about cybersecurity risk.

This is a unique opportunity to do work that matters: your expertise won't just protect one organization — it will influence how AI understands and responds to security challenges at scale.

What You'll Do

  • Analyze vulnerability reports, CVEs, and real-world exposure scenarios across infrastructure and applications
  • Classify severity, exploitability, business impact, and appropriate remediation strategies
  • Review and evaluate patching, mitigation, and risk prioritization decision-making scenarios
  • Generate, label, and validate realistic security reasoning data used to train and evaluate AI systems
  • Apply your practitioner knowledge to distinguish theoretical risk from what actually matters in production environments

Who You Are

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in vulnerability management, security operations, or infrastructure security
  • Familiar with CVE databases, vulnerability scanners, patching workflows, and risk prioritization frameworks (e.g., CVSS, EPSS, SSVC)
  • Comfortable making nuanced risk tradeoff decisions the way real security teams do
  • A clear, structured, and analytical communicator who can document reasoning effectively
  • Self-directed and comfortable working asynchronously on task-based assignments

Nice to Have

  • Experience with tools like Tenable, Qualys, Rapid7, or similar vulnerability management platforms
  • Familiarity with threat intelligence, exploit tracking, or exposure management concepts
  • Background in cloud security, container security, or application security
  • Interest in AI, machine learning, or how AI systems are trained and evaluated

Why Join Us

  • Work directly on cutting-edge AI projects with top research labs and make a tangible impact
  • Fully remote and flexible — work on your own schedule with no fixed hours
  • Freelance perks: autonomy, variety, and collaboration with a global community of experts
  • Put your security expertise to work in a brand-new way, at the frontier of AI development
  • Potential for ongoing work and contract extension
