Duties And Responsibilities
- On site startup technician for various manufactures
- Troubleshoot installation of control systems including working on commercial Daikin, Aaeon, LG HVAC systems
- Solve issues using reasoning and logic
- Communicate with individuals who installed the system
- Program new control system using touchscreens and computers
- Document actions taken on the job site on service reports
- Understand and read wiring diagrams during troubleshooting
- Complete all startup documentation and send it to be entered for warranty
- Perform other duties and assignments
Knowledge And Abilities
- Knowledge of: HVAC trade practices and industry standards
- HVAC and refrigeration system theory
- Materials, methods, and tools used in the installation, operation, and repair of HVAC and refrigeration systems
- Understanding of Electrical theory and how it is used in equipment common to the HVAC trade
- Basic record-keeping practices
- Proper storage and handling of equipment, materials, and supplies
Education And Experience
- High school diploma or G.E.D. Certificate
- Two years of HVAC training program
Licenses And Other Requirements
- Valid California License
- Active EPA Universal Technician Certification
Pay
$40-$65/hr DOE
