VP – Technical Lead - Compliance

Responsibilities

• Define and deliver the application and integration architecture for enterprise-scale platforms
• Ensure high-quality, secure, resilient, and compliant solutions for a global user base
• Translate complex business requirements into robust technical solutions
• Drive delivery through an agile operating model
• Lead the design and implementation of web, API, and integration services
• Establish engineering standards and best practices
• Promote API-first, end-to-end development
• Partner with the Colleague CIO organization to enable future platform integration
• Provide technical leadership across distributed teams
• Govern architecture and integration patterns
• Build and lead a high-performing engineering team
• Effectively hire, manage, and develop engineers across global locations

Requirements

• Significant technical leadership with deep expertise in Java, Spring, Kafka, REST APIs, OpenShift, and modern engineering practices
• Proven ability to design and deliver secure, scalable, resilient, and compliant enterprise solutions
• Extensive experience in API-first architecture, microservices, and event-driven systems
• In-depth knowledge of application security, identity, and access management
• Proven performance history of leading high-performing engineering teams in fast-paced environments
• Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as GitLab, and Jenkins
• Experience with modern cloud platforms, including OpenShift, AWS, delivering scalable, secure, and resilient enterprise solutions
• AI-first mindset with a passion for leveraging AI and intelligent automation
• Solid understanding of Agile delivery practices, with practical experience working within Scrum and Kanban frameworks
• Continuous improvement mindset, embracing emerging technologies, modern engineering practices, and data-driven ways of working

• Considerable Python development experience
• Strong communication skills to influence senior leaders and translate complex technical concepts into business value
