VP Supply Chain and Procurement
About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Vice President of Supply Chain & Procurement to lead enterprise-wide supply chain strategy, sourcing, procurement, and planning across a global, multi-site organization.
Responsibilities
Lead enterprise-wide demand, capacity, and inventory planning (SIOP) across all sites and business segments.
Establish governance, KPIs, and decision frameworks to improve service, cost, working capital, and resilience.
Translate commercial forecasts and growth plans into executable supply, capacity, and inventory strategies.
Drive standardization, digital enablement, and continuous improvement of planning processes.
Own enterprise sourcing and procurement strategy across all spend categories, including direct, indirect, CAPEX, Travel & Entertainment and MRO.
Partner with executive and functional leaders to align sourcing strategies with financial targets, growth plans, and site investment priorities.
Lead supplier negotiations, contract strategies, and performance management for complex, high-value relationships.
Build supply assurance, cost resilience, and long-term supplier partnerships across a global footprint.
Support commercial teams with cost modeling and estimates for customer proposals.
Embed ESG and responsible sourcing principles into supply chain and procurement strategies.
Partner with Sustainability/ESG, Quality, Legal, Compliance, and Finance teams to support supplier governance, risk management, and disclosure requirements as applicable.
Strengthen supplier performance expectations related to sustainability, ethics, and compliance across the supply base.
Provide leadership oversight for CapEx sourcing strategies supporting capacity expansion, technology upgrades, and site investments.
Ensure early procurement engagement in CapEx planning, budgeting, and execution.
Drive total cost of ownership (TCO), value tracking, and contract compliance across enterprise spend.
Proactively identify supplier, supply chain, and execution risks and implement mitigation strategies aligned with business continuity and compliance needs.
Drive cash flow improvement through enterprise-wide Working Capital Improvement initiatives (Inventory and Payables).
Lead or contribute to major enterprise initiatives, including:
Global ERP implementation and adoption.
Multi-year value creation and cost-reduction roadmap.
AI-enabled and advanced supply chain analytics capabilities.
Develop rapid integration playbooks to standardize processes, systems, and governance for new or acquired sites.
Own global supply chain processes, documentation, standards, and implementation playbooks.
Define enterprise data ownership, metrics, and reporting standards across supply chain and procurement.
Partner with IT and Finance to develop dashboards, analytics, and BI solutions.
Transition supply chain analytics into scalable enterprise BI capabilities with strong governance and audit readiness.
Lead, mentor, and develop managers and directors across supply chain and procurement.
Build strong, trusted relationships with site leaders and corporate functions.
Develop organizational capability, succession pipelines, and leadership depth.
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Business, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
10+ years of progressive leadership experience in supply chain, procurement, or operations in a large-scale global public company
Deep understanding of and experience with ESG, supplier governance, and risk management frameworks
Proven experience managing managers and senior leaders in matrixed environments
Strong strategic, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities
Experience with ERP platforms, planning systems, and analytics tools
Executive-level communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree (MBA or related field)
Experience leading ERP implementations or large-scale enterprise transformations
APICS and/or CSCMP certification or membership
Experience in regulated, pharmaceutical, life sciences, or complex manufacturing environments
