About the role
The Vice President, Supply Chain is responsible for the strategic direction and management of supply chain, procurement, logistics and inventory management functions for UCSF Health.
Responsibilities
- Establishes mission and goals at the macro-level; leads subordinate management to develop goals in alignment with mission.
- Leads financial analysis and reporting techniques; human resources and risk management planning; accounting and payroll.
- Works collaboratively and acts persuasively in sensitive situations; manages conflict.
- Establishes metrics for department and employee goals which measure effectiveness of contributions to efficient operations of department.
- Develops and implements strategy, systems planning and change management.
- Manages capital projects and establishes department goals, motivates and influences others to achieve.
- Utilizes metrics to drive excellence, support operations and facilitate integration.
- Built collaborative relationships, develops strategies and engages in constructive problem-solving in a highly complex and matrixed organizational environment.
- Built outstanding relationships at all levels of the organization in an environment that is managed through influence and relationships.
Requirements
- Expert knowledge of financial analysis and reporting techniques; human resources and risk management planning; accounting and payroll.
- Expert skills to work collaboratively and act persuasively in sensitive situations; skills in conflict management techniques.
- Expert leadership abilities to establish department goals, and to motivate and influence others to achieve.
- Expert ability to establish and utilize metrics to drive excellence, support operations and facilitate integration.
- Expert knowledge of health care delivery models, business and strategic planning, financial management and organizational development.
- Expert knowledge in supply chain management, including: procurement, logistics and inventory management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
- Advanced degree preferred.
