About the role
The VP, Strategy & Operations serves as the "KBS Lead" at 4-6 of Kanbrick's companies, focusing on building and maintaining integrated growth plans, ensuring the KBS team is prepared, and fostering a partnership where CEOs and their teams see Kanbrick as the best partner.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the "KBS Lead" at 4-6 of Kanbrick's companies, managing relationships with CEOs and overseeing the integrated growth plan.
- Work closely with an Investing Lead on each company, ramping into this role as the firm grows.
- Bring depth to bear on work that meaningfully moves the needle across multiple companies and contexts simultaneously.
- Build genuine relationships with Community CEOs and owners, deliver content virtually and at events, and show meaningful presence across Community programs.
Requirements
- Operated or led a senior function with real accountability for outcomes.
- Spent meaningful time in a services-firm or PE operations context, learning to create change through influence rather than authority.
- Earns CEO trust through substance and genuine curiosity.
- Gets real energy from enabling others.
- Holds a clear point of view on where value is created and lost and defends it in front of a CEO and an investing partner.
- Uses AI to diagnose, plan, and deliver, making partner companies faster.
- Believes patient capital and genuine long-term partnership is the better model.
- Does the work, not just the deck.
- Can take an ambiguous problem from first diagnosis through to results, comfortable in both strategy discussions and execution.
Qualifications
We seek someone with a proven track record of operating and influencing, ideally in a services firm or private equity operations context. Key attributes include earning CEO trust through substance and genuine curiosity, getting energy from enabling others, holding a clear point of view on value creation, using AI to diagnose and deliver, believing in patient capital, doing the work, and being comfortable in both strategy and execution.
