About the role
We are seeking a mid to senior-level C#/SQL developer to join the Global Equities Prime Services Backoffice technology team. This role focuses on developing the Jefferies Global Swap Desk platform and implementing trade processing and clearing models within a dynamic, fast-moving infrastructure. The position is client-facing, with approximately 30% support and 70% development responsibilities in a small, ambitious team with a relaxed working environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop the global Backoffice system for the firm’s Prime Services Swaps Desk.
- Build out regional and product-type functionalities for the Swaps platform.
- Provide day-to-day support for applications and trading desks.
- Engage in direct communication with Swaps, Operations, Middle Office, connectivity teams, and internal technology groups.
- Focus on order management and real-time profit and loss systems.
- Support internal and external clients with a client-focused approach.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of programming experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the financial industry.
- Strong, recent working knowledge of C#, WPF, WinForms, and SQL.
- Proficiency in coding business logic in SQL stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
- Experience with test-driven development and relevant tools.
- Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
- Excellent communication skills, with a client-facing mindset.
Qualifications
- Experience with trading or order management systems.
- Experience with trade risk, client vs. firm risk.
- Good understanding of asset classes such as Equity, Options, Fixed Income, and Swaps.
- Understanding of margin rules and procedures.
- Working experience with equities and swaps.
- Experience with Market Data and Order Management Systems.
- Familiarity with Swaps, Buy Side Outsourced Trading concepts, and Trade Settlement.
- Experience with Omgeo CTM.
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Computer Science; advanced degree is a plus.
Pay
Full-time salary range of $185,000 - $225,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The role includes an annual discretionary incentive and retention bonus.
