Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and support strategic technology platforms for Fixed Income Credit Market Data and Risk.
  • Partner closely with traders, quantitative strategists, risk managers, market risk, and business stakeholders to deliver high-impact technology solutions.
  • Lead the architecture and modernization of existing market data and risk platforms.
  • Drive system reliability, resiliency and operational excellence.
  • Collaborate across global technology teams to deliver strategic initiatives while maintaining production stability.
  • Participate in production support for critical trading applications.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of Java or Scala
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with data structures, design patterns and collections
  • Multi-threaded programming
  • Desire to learn and use different technologies to overcome complex problems in financial modelling
  • Good communication skills

Skills

  • Desired: Knowledge of SQL and data modeling
  • Desired: Knowledge of Fixed Income Credit

Pay

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $150,000 and $210,000 per year at the commencement of employment. Base pay is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
