About the role
Lead engineering teams, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions, driving technical excellence, fostering a culture of innovation, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to align technical decisions with business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Oversee timelines, team allocation, risk management and task prioritization to ensure the successful delivery of solutions within scope, time, and budget.
- Mentor and support team members' professional growth, conduct performance reviews, provide actionable feedback, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Evaluation and enhancement of engineering processes, tools, and methodologies to increase efficiency, streamline workflows, and optimize team productivity.
- Collaboration with business partners, product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions and ensure a cohesive approach to product development.
- Enforcement of technology standards, facilitate peer reviews, and implement robust testing practices to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions.
Requirements
- Experience with strategic technology delivery and full-stack engineering experience modernizing platforms using Java, Microservices, APIs, messaging, rules-based, event-driven architecture.
- Experience building lightweight operational UIs/dashboards for intraday monitoring, exceptions, and approvals to real-time data quality.
- Confirmed ability to drive automation to drive operational efficiency.
- Act as a change agent by leveraging GenAI tools and frameworks to accelerate our innovation agenda.
- Comfortable working with modern tech stacks Java, APIs, microservices, event-driven architectures, React, DevOps tooling GitLab, Jenkins, data models, enrichment, reconciliation feeds, lineage, and application monitoring tools such as AppDynamics, Esasas.
Qualifications
- Considerable understanding of intraday liquidity management with the ability to translate business risk and regulatory needs into clear technical outcomes.
- Ability to embed operational risk, controls, and resilience requirements directly into product design and prioritization decisions.
- Actively monitors emerging technology trends (e.g., AI-assisted decisioning, optimization engines).
- Experience as practitioner of Agile based software development practices.
