About the role
The ideal Senior Regional Director (SRD) candidate will be a successful, polished, and highly motivated professional with an established track record of raising assets within the Intermediary channel. This role represents Voya Investment Management in the New Jersey Region, targeting Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs), Wirehouse, and Independent Broker Dealers. The candidate will drive territory sales, positive net cash flow, and manage advisor relationships through segmentation, consultative sales, meetings, conferences, and training workshops.
Responsibilities
- Strategically plan and manage resources to maximize territory sales using industry and firm data, prioritizing advisors.
- Develop and manage a strong and active pipeline, ensuring all meeting activity is recorded in CRM.
- Responsible for efficient budgeting of expenses.
- Work with a Regional Coordinator (internal wholesaler) to drive sales through geographically distinct or segmented firms, identifying and fostering leads from segmentation, referrals, ad campaigns, and territory canvassing.
- Partner with other Voya lines of business (DCIO, Workplace Solutions, NQDC) to drive synergies and enhance enterprise value.
- Travel required, including overnight stays, with a minimum of 20-25 appointments per week in the field (one-on-one meetings, presentations, conferences). Virtual meetings permitted when requested. Territory: New Jersey.
Requirements
- 8+ years of sales experience wholesaling mutual funds, SMAs, and Alternative products in territory.
- Established track record of consultative selling of Open-End Funds, SMAs, private and public alternative investments.
- Proven ability to grow a territory as measured by sales and persistency of business over multiple years.
- Experience selling to RIAs in the geographic market is required.
- Strong organizational and technical skills, with the ability to quickly grasp new concepts.
- Exceptional presentation skills and a collaborative team-player mindset.
- Series 7 and 66 licenses required.
- Candidate must reside in the New Jersey territory.
Pay
The annual base salary range for this role is $100,000 USD, plus monthly commissions and annual bonus opportunities. Voya offers incentive opportunities based on role and performance, including annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives.
