About the role
Our client’s due diligence team within Securitized Product is looking for a Vice President for on-site work in New York City. In this capacity, you will play an integral role in loan-level due diligence activities that correspond with acquisitions, lending, securitization, and servicing of mortgage whole-loan pools. You will be primarily responsible for analyzing, loading, and presenting due diligence data to support business across whole-loan trading, warehouse financing, and securitization.
As a V.P., you will work with trading desks to develop and improve complex models, provide data analysis and trade ideas, and create analytics to access enormous datasets for in-depth analysis of loan-level data. The successful candidate will balance daily functions with numerous ad-hoc requests while developing strategic solutions for the desk.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and provide summarization, reporting, and tracking for pre- and post-settle deal status, diligence and collateral curative activity, and contractual and regulatory milestones.
- Review, verify, and maintain the highest quality of due diligence data.
- Act as the liaison between sellers, vendors, servicers, external counsel, and other third parties regarding due diligence activities.
- Write complex queries to analyze enormous mortgage datasets, provide analysis and reports, identify historical performance trends, and deliver due diligence insights to trading, banking, and finance teams.
- Possess a working knowledge of all whole-loan and securitization business-related documentation and market-standard procedures.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in RMBS, CMBS, or ABS, focusing on Origination and Due Diligence.
- Regulatory experience in residential/consumer lending with proven knowledge of consumer protection regulations, including working knowledge of applicable laws such as the Dodd-Frank Act, ECOA, FCRA, TILA, EFTA, GLBA, AML/OFAC, and related state laws.
- Strong data analytical skills.
- Experience with Loan Management Systems, Warehouse Management Systems, CAS, or Liquidaty.
- High attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills.
Pay
The annual full-time base salary range for this role is $150,000.00 - $210,000.00. Specific compensation is determined through interviews and a review of relevant education, experience, training, skills, geographic location, and alignment with market data. Certain positions may also be eligible for a discretionary bonus as determined by bonus program guidelines and management approval.
