VP, Relationship Manager, Commercial Banking - Desert Region

Responsibilities
- Source opportunities, negotiate and issue term sheets, and perform analysis, due diligence, and underwriting of commercial real estate loan requests.
- Review initial borrower submissions, analyze submitted information, and prepare written credit presentations.
- Guide credit requests through review by division managers and senior credit officers.
- Assist loan administration through the closing process.
- Establish and foster new and existing client relationships.
- Analyze commercial lending opportunities, including working capital lines of credit, term loans, and owner-occupied real estate loans.
- Conduct detailed analysis of borrower(s) and guarantor(s) balance sheets and cash flow to assess creditworthiness.
- Gather additional information required for initial credit decisions or credit displays.
- Prepare investment analysis and credit packages for review by department managers and credit administrators.
- Maintain ongoing analysis of borrower(s) and guarantor(s) to ensure loan and collateral integrity.
- Manage financial ticklers and collaborate with loan administrators and legal counsel to process and close credit facilities.
- Stay abreast of market trends and develop/maintain a network of referral sources.
- Participate in interviewing, hiring, and performance evaluations, including goal planning and counseling.
- Manage, support, coach, and train staff.
- Adhere to all established policies, procedures, and compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in commercial lending, including valuation, asset management, and financial analysis.
- B.A. Degree in finance or related field and/or equivalent work experience.
- Knowledge of and adherence to state and federal regulations, including Regulation Z (Truth in Lending Act), Regulation B (Equal Credit Opportunity Act), Fair Housing Act (FHA), Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA), Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) in conjunction with the USA PATRIOT Act, Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Customer Information Program (CIP), Right to Financial Privacy Act (RFPA), and Community Reinvestment Act (CRA).
- General knowledge of loan documentation, collateral analysis, and financial statements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly spreadsheets (Word, Excel), and familiarity with Argus and Moody’s analysis systems.
- Experience with the nCino system.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with a wide range of people.
- Positive attitude, responsiveness, judgment, maturity, integrity, and time management skills.
- Familiarity with departmental and human resources policies and procedures.

Pay
The base salary offered is determined through a review of education, industry experience, training, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, in alignment with market data and other factors.
