VP, Regional Planning Consultant - Schaumburg/Deer Park, IL
About the Role
Our Financial Planning offices are filled with energy and potential. As a Regional Planning Consultant, you will play a vital role in supporting investor center associates by reinforcing the principles of consultative selling. You will impact associate development through focused coaching in key foundational areas, including communication skills, our product offerings, and practice management techniques.
Responsibilities
- Provide subject matter expertise on a broad range of financial planning and investment solutions, including advisory solutions, wealth advisory services, insurance offerings, and retirement.
- Coordinate with branch management to create supportive development plans and deliver collaborative training to associates improving their skills and abilities.
- Encourage the growth of branch associates, preparing them to become highly proficient and effective sales consultants by embracing consultative selling practices.
- Lead by example, demonstrating organized preparation and effective follow-up skills.
- Partner with branch consultants in client appointments to support the introduction and implementation of appropriate product solutions.
Requirements
- Sales experience in the financial services industry.
- Series 7 & 63 licenses (required). Series 66 and Insurance licenses must be obtained within 6 months of hire (study time provided).
- CFP certification preferred.

Pay
The base salary range for this position is $118,000–$226,000 USD per year. Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors. Base salary is only part of the total compensation package, which may also include bonus or other variable compensation for eligible roles.
Schedule
Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.
