Reporting to the Head of Program Management, this role leads the program management function for the Healthcare Business Unit (BU). You will oversee a global team of new product introduction (NPI) program managers to launch new customer programs into worldwide factories, ensuring NPI and launch execution across all manufacturing locations and engagement models. As part of the Healthcare BU President’s executive leadership team, you will collaborate with heads of business development, account management, design, supply chain, and operations, as well as key customer executives.
About the role
- Lead a team of program managers responsible for program status and issues, assess risks, drive corrective actions, and ensure successful program execution.
- Engage functional executives on the BU leadership team to align and drive business and customer strategies, ensure resource assignment, and resolve issues.
- Collaborate with customer executives to define win-win partnerships, scope new programs, and resolve issues and escalations for ongoing programs.
- Drive continuous improvement in overall product development and NPI processes to enhance program execution.
- Define metrics to measure program performance and regularly report on performance across the portfolio of programs.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders, including the BU President, to develop and implement strategic programs and initiatives.
- Develop people and build a team for world-class program management and execution.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 15 years of experience in product development, NPI, and manufacturing, including program management, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven experience in cross-functional program management spanning design engineering, supply chain, and manufacturing.
- Direct customer-facing experience, including definition of new program scope, business terms, program execution, and issue resolution.
- Strong knowledge of program management and development processes and tools (e.g., phase/gate processes, Agile, MS Project, Smartsheet, JIRA).
- Demonstrated organizational leadership and development.
- P/L experience and strong financial acumen.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional strategic thinking and analytical capabilities.
