About the role
As the VP of Product Management for SS&C Intralinks' Alternative Investments segment, you will own the full product strategy and execution for this critical business unit. Reporting directly to the SVP of Product and Design, you will lead a team of product managers, work closely with engineering, design, GTM, and sales, and drive significant growth in under three years.
Responsibilities
- Set the strategic vision for the Alternative Investments product portfolio and translate it into a disciplined, customer-validated roadmap.
- Drive the full product lifecycle, from market insight and ideation through launch, adoption, and growth.
- Understand what winning looks like commercially, not just technically.
- Lead AI product strategy for the segment, including understanding LLMs, generative AI, and conversational interfaces.
- Own the P&L mindset, understanding pricing, competitive positioning, revenue impact, and what it takes to move the number.
- Be the voice of the customer inside the building, running discovery with GPs, LPs, and fund administrators.
- Work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Engineering, and Customer Success as a true partner, not a gatekeeper.
- Communicate strategy, tradeoffs, and decisions with clarity up, down, and across the organization.
Requirements
- Fluency in the alternative investments ecosystem, with at least 10+ years of product management experience, including 5 years in a leadership role at a global SaaS business.
- A proven ability to uncover unmet customer needs and translate them into roadmap decisions that create real differentiation.
- A track record of building and holding teams accountable, with the emotional intelligence to develop people, not just manage them.
- A clear answer to 'what are you working on right now' and a long answer, along with a metric that proved your most important product success.
- A strong signal of working-backwards thinking, JTBD methodology, radical candor, and the discipline of storytelling as a product leadership skill.
- A proven ability to make a call with imperfect information rather than waiting for consensus.
- A background in a market with institutional clients where relationships are long, trust is slow to earn, and switching costs are real.
