About the role

As the Vice President of Product Design, you'll drive the overall user experience across the Informatica portfolio. You will be responsible for the experience design vision, strategy, and implementation of the Informatica suite of Data Management and GenAI products used by businesses globally. This role collaborates closely with Salesforce teams building the future of the Agentic Enterprise, including Data360, MuleSoft, Tableau, and Agentforce teams.

You will lead a global team of world-class designers with a track record of defining elegant product solutions. Reporting directly to the SVP of Salesforce UX & Product Design, you will sit on that organization's leadership team to help drive product strategy and ensure users are represented in a design-led approach to product development.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Vision & Leadership:
    • Build a culture of customer obsession by embedding it into every facet of design strategy.
    • Develop and articulate a compelling design vision shaped by design thinking principles.
    • Anticipate future challenges, drive clarity in high-ambiguity environments, and mobilize teams to deliver sustainable, high-impact solutions.
  • Customer-Centric Product & Digital Design:
    • Lead the creation of intuitive and impactful solutions rooted in design methodologies.
    • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deeply understand customer needs at all product lifecycle stages.
    • Develop and implement experience strategies that prioritize holistic, end-to-end customer journeys.
    • Champion responsible design by leveraging AI ethically, transparently, and with a focus on trust and user control.
    • Drive the use of modular, reusable design patterns for flexibility, extensibility, and long-term platform cohesion.
  • Team Leadership & Development:
    • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing, multidisciplinary design team committed to innovation.
    • Foster a culture of customer obsession, creativity, and collaboration.
    • Recruit, nurture, and retain best-in-class global design talent.
    • Create conditions of trust and psychological safety where every team member can do their best work.
  • Operational Design Management:
    • Establish workflows and systems that enable rapid, customer-driven design innovations.
    • Prioritize resources toward initiatives that significantly enhance the customer journey.
    • Continuously evaluate and adopt cutting-edge agentic design and vibe coding tools.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:
    • Act as the voice of the customer in leadership meetings, ensuring alignment with customer-first design principles.
    • Collaborate with other departments to apply customer-focused design principles across all activities.
    • Drive strategic initiatives that enhance the end-to-end customer journey.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of UX experience, managing and building teams while delivering enterprise products and solutions.
  • Experience making key contributions to innovative, successful products with a strong understanding of AI technologies.
  • Bachelor's or Master's in HCI, Industrial/Visual Design, Behavioral Science, or related discipline.
  • Experience successfully leading and directing a large UX team.
  • Expertise with user-centered design principles, UX design best practices, trends, and emerging technologies.

  • Insatiable curiosity to experiment, iterate, and scale with cutting-edge technologies and tools.
  • Success driving the evolution of sophisticated design systems.
  • Expertise refining and enhancing the end-to-end customer journey to foster customer loyalty and retention.
  • Detail-oriented yet capable of managing strategic, big-picture initiatives.
  • Strong presentation, storytelling, and cross-functional communication skills, with the ability to align and inspire across executive and diverse audiences.
  • Ability to make hard decisions and be accountable for them, even when the outcome is negative.
  • Understanding of key business metrics and data and how they connect to design.

Pay

The typical base salary range for this position is $257,500 - $451,700 annually. In select cities within the San Francisco and New York City metropolitan area, the base salary range is $310,200 - $496,400 annually. The range represents base salary only and does not include company bonus, incentive for sales roles, equity, or benefits, as applicable.
