VP, Procurement
Position Summary
The VP, Procurement will lead enterprise strategic sourcing and supplier delivery activities. Responsible for leading all enterprise sourcing and sourcing of goods and services, as well as supplier performance delivery. Will partner with spend owners such as business unit and functional area partners to maximize the value they receive from suppliers to meet their goals and objectives. Will work with functional business partners and Finance from initial need identification to final goods and services delivery to meet organizational needs. Will lead efforts in demand management, supply chain strategy, supplier identification, sourcing selection, contract negotiations, delivery planning including service level agreements (SLAs), supplier onboarding/offboarding and supplier performance management and improvement. Will be responsible for the overall procurement strategy and spend under management evolving best practices and transforming the organization to a centralized strategic function that develops and executes strategies that generates a 3:1 return in value.
General Duties/Responsibilities
- Creates and develops a competitive strategic goods and services sourcing and supplier delivery function
- Creates and develops a competitive world class supply chain to achieve the enterprise’s objectives
- Manages the procurement lifecycle
- Delivers annual procurement strategy and plan
- Executes the annual procurement plan strategy
- Manages the enterprises business outsource activities
- Led enterprise cross-functional sourcing events
- Partners with Legal to deliver competitive deals
- Leads supplier onboarding and integration
- Identification and execution of cost savings and avoidance opportunities
- Develops benchmarks and scorecards to be used for continuous supply chain performance
- Partners with other enterprise functions to create and deliver value creation and enhancement
Minimum Requirements
- Experience with modern sourcing, contracting and procurement systems
- Experience with supply chain risk management and mitigation
- In-depth knowledge of strategic sourcing, contracting, procurement and supplier delivery practices and protocols
- Strong cross-functional leadership
- Team player with executive level presence
- Strong negotiation skills for commercial deals including BPO
- Innovative mindset with ability to drive change with cross functional execution leadership
