For our client, we are seeking a VP, People to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space. This leader will shape the people strategy for a distributed, rapidly growing organization with a strong remote-first culture. The role will focus on strengthening employee connection, manager effectiveness, and retention across diverse geographies. You will partner closely with leadership to build scalable people programs that support growth, communication, and belonging. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $210,000 – $230,000 annually Responsibilities Design remote-first systems that foster connection and teamwork among employees Create actionable employee engagement strategies and measure success through outcomes Establish a clear communication rhythm to keep employees informed about company strategy and updates Develop a cohesive culture that strengthens recognition and belonging in a distributed environment Oversee retention initiatives, including identifying at-risk talent and supporting succession planning Redefine manager training for a distributed workforce and adapt leadership practices as technology evolves Qualifications 5-7 years of leadership experience in HR, particularly in a remote and international context Proven track record of scaling a company during rapid growth phases, ideally in the tech sector Hands-on builder in HR operations, with an active role in developing people processes and programs Experience utilizing AI tools in team management and work processes Strong ability to cultivate a positive remote culture across diverse geographies Benefits Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits 401(k) plan with company matching Equity through RSUs for all full-time employees Flexible vacation policy with emphasis on work-life balance Support for parental leave, fertility treatments, and childcare expenses Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
