Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire revenue cycle process, including patient registration, insurance verification, billing, collections, and denials management.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase efficiency and effectiveness of revenue cycle operations, reduce costs, and improve customer service.
- Provide leadership and direction to the revenue cycle team, ensuring high levels of productivity, quality, and customer service.
- Manage relationships with RCM vendors, ensuring that service level agreements are met and that vendors are delivering high-quality services.
- Analyze and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement in the revenue cycle process.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve issues that impact the revenue cycle, such as denials and claims processing.
- Lead the implementation of new systems or technologies that can improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the revenue cycle process.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle management, including experience with outsourced billing, multi-site operations, denials and claims management, and vendor management.
- Demonstrated knowledge of healthcare reimbursement methodologies and revenue integrity principles.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Proficient in using revenue cycle management software and other financial management tools.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- In-depth understanding of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements related to revenue cycle management.
- Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) or Certified Revenue Cycle Executive (CRCE) certification is a plus.
Pay
$180,000 - $250,000 per year
