VP of Quality

This position is incentive eligible. Salary estimate: $184,683.20 - $276,848.00 per year. Factors such as skills, experience, and comparison to existing employees may influence the actual salary offered.

About the role

Join our team at Good Samaritan Hospital as the VP of Quality, where you will oversee all aspects of the quality assurance and performance improvement program. Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer, you will ensure clinical activities align with the hospital’s goals and mission. This role involves providing leadership in performance improvement, regulatory compliance, and coordination across Quality Management, Risk Management, Infection Control, Patient Safety, and Regulatory Compliance.

You will coordinate data collection and assessment for process and outcome improvements, ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., JCAHO, Medicare, CMS), and foster productive relationships with physicians. Additionally, you will manage budgetary guidelines, employee engagement, and communication while driving quality and performance improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the quality assurance and performance improvement program within the organization.
• Provide consultation and skill development in performance improvement to Medical Staff, executive leadership, and staff.
• Coordinate organization-wide regulatory compliance, including licensure and accreditation.
• Direct functions related to Quality Management, Risk Management, Infection Control, Patient Safety, and Regulatory Compliance.
• Coordinate data collection and assessment for process and outcome improvements.
• Ensure operations run within budgetary guidelines and maintain positive employee engagement.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations (e.g., JCAHO, Medicare, CMS).
• Facilitate productive relationships with physicians and other stakeholders.

Requirements

• Master’s degree (M.A. / M.S.) required.
• CPHQ Certification required within 1 year of hire.
• 7-9 years of progressive hospital/nursing management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Demonstrated competency in Quality Management, Risk Management, Infection Control, and Regulatory Compliance.
• Experience in successful administration and leadership of organizational management programs.
