About the role
The VP of Production and Supply Chain will directly oversee production and supply chain operations including procurement, receiving, inventory, production, shipping and supply chain management.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Own both strategic and tactical decisions for accurate and timely order fulfillment activities
- Lead and align multiple teams to ensure the accurate purchasing, receiving, inventory of 3rd party components; quality assembly of multiple configurations of final products; RMA workflow; efficient shipping to international and domestic destinations
- Lead new product fulfillment by coordinating demand planning, cross-functional alignment, inventory readiness, and supplier execution
- Prioritize production schedules and communicate lead times and fulfillment timelines; recommend resource investments to close gaps
- Lead cross functional problem-solving activities regarding configuration control, end of life components, and design complexity that challenge efficient fulfillment
- Participate in new and legacy product management planning to advocate for best practice manufacturability practices
- Maintain vendor performance to secure accurate components, rectify non-conformances, manage timely deliveries, and communicate overall performance; provide direction to Quality and Supply Chain teams
- Partner with Finance on achieving inventory strategies, scrap goals, and variance management
- Support the RMA process through executive oversight, daily fulfillment coordination, and proactive warranty inventory planning; partner with Client Support to collaborate on varying client RMA requirements
- Drive efficiencies through process improvement and automation
- Manage production equipment and facilities in accordance with environmental and safety regulations
- Participate in annual planning and audit activities; set and communicate strategic objectives to cross functional leaders and employees
- Create and monitor KPIs that measure the health of the division
- Responsible for interviewing, hiring and training employees across the business; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving issues.
Qualifications
- 10+ years’ experience as a VP/Director of Production and Supply Chain
- Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, supply chain, engineering or equivalent
- Experience with ERP systems; preferably NetSuite
- Experience manufacturing in a regulated environment (ISO 13485)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to pass security clearance.
