About the Role
We're looking for a VP of Product to own the product, design, and commercial strategy that will define Perry Weather's next chapter. Reporting to the COO and sitting on the senior leadership team, this role sits at the intersection of product, engineering, hardware, data, and go-to-market – partnering closely with our Engineering team to turn a category-leading platform into a durable, multi-product business.
Responsibilities
- Own the commercial success of the product, including segmentation, pricing, packaging, monetization, and go-to-market direction.
- Set the roadmap across three horizons: deepen category leadership in real-time alerting, historical analytics, compliance, and operational forecasting with AI insights.
- Build the data business by turning proprietary data into APIs, packaged products, and partnerships for new revenue streams.
- Bring vision and discipline to hardware strategy, ensuring reliability and seamless integration with software.
- Lead product efforts across all segments, including PLG, enterprise sales, new verticals, and international expansion.
- Build and lead the product and design organization, setting operating rhythms and partnering with engineering for efficient delivery.
- Make Perry Weather AI-native by identifying durable customer value opportunities in AI.
Requirements
- 8+ years in product, including leading product at a B2B SaaS company through a growth stage, with ownership of commercial outcomes.
- Strong GM instincts for evaluating markets, customers, pricing, and ROI.
- Builder mindset with strategic and hands-on capabilities, comfortable with ambiguity and early-stage ownership.
- Experience with hardware-enabled, IoT, or operationally complex products, or credible ownership of a hardware roadmap.
- Technical fluency to partner with engineering, make architecture-aware tradeoffs, and drive discovery.
- Fluency with AI-enabled workflows and a clear POV on applying AI to products and go-to-market.
- Track record of building and developing product and design teams.
Qualifications
- Experience with enterprise SaaS/data platforms, weather/geospatial data, or vertical software in physical/traditional industries is a plus.
- PE-backed experience is a plus.
Why Perry Weather
- Shape products at the center of a shifting weather intelligence market, improving safety and reducing operational risk.
- Work at the executive level with direct influence over strategy, roadmap, and company scale.
- Tackle end-to-end problems spanning software, hardware, real-time data, and forecasting.
- Contribute to a real mission: making everyone safer outdoors.
- Join a fast-growing company with room to build and shape its future.
Benefits
- Collaborative in-office environment in Oak Lawn (Dallas), five days a week.
- Competitive health insurance, 401(k) with employer matching, and voluntary benefits.
- Strong culture with monthly All-Hands, Office Olympics, happy hours, and more.
- Early-stage opportunity to shape the company's future during a period of rapid growth.
This is an in-office role in our Oak Lawn (Dallas) office, Monday through Friday.
