VP of Product

Paces · Brooklyn, NY · 3 wk ago
Marketing$240k–$300k/yrFull-time

About the role

Paces is building the development engine for renewable infrastructure and power projects, using Agentic AI to automate early‑stage due diligence and pairing it with in‑house expertise to accelerate late‑stage diligence. The platform streamlines siting, interconnection, and permitting for renewable energy and data‑center developers, real‑estate firms, EV‑charging companies, and more. The team in Brooklyn, New York includes talent from Meta AI, DeepMind, Tesla, high‑growth startups, and industry leaders from TotalEnergies, Con Edison, and GE. As the first VP of Product reporting to the CEO and Co‑Founder, you will own product strategy across the Power, Risk, and Platform pods, build and lead the product organization, and stay hands‑on enough to write specs, join customer calls, and make detailed trade‑off decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Own the roadmap for a platform that carries a data‑center or power project from market selection through siting, permitting, and interconnection.
  • Define metrics for AI‑forward products and build a solution customers reach for daily rather than quarterly.
  • Hire and coach product managers who can engage transmission engineers and ML engineers in the same meeting.
  • Spend real time with hyperscalers, data‑center developers, IPPs, and renewable developers; turn insights into actionable engineering roadmaps.
  • Ship agentic products that domain experts trust; set standards for evaluating agent quality, handling failure modes, and deciding where humans belong in the loop.

Requirements

  • 8+ years in product management, including 3+ years leading product teams.
  • Experience hiring PMs and managing through pod or group leads.
  • Track record of taking a technical B2B product from early traction to real scale, ideally in the $5M–$50M ARR range.
  • Experience shipping AI products where accuracy matters and the user is a domain expert, not a consumer.

Skills

  • Fluency with data‑heavy products.
  • Clear writing: specs, memos, and updates that replace the need for meetings.
  • Real opinions on pricing and packaging, backed by changes you have actually shipped.

Qualifications

  • Share a passion to build something that fights climate change.
  • Genuinely excited about difficult challenges in a fast‑growing organization.
  • Want to work on the binding constraint of the next decade: power.
  • Ability to hold strategy and execution in the same week without dropping either.
  • Drawn to problems where the domain is genuinely hard.

Benefits

  • Meaningful equity and bonus.
  • 401(k) matching.
  • Health, Dental, and Vision insurance.
  • Paid company holidays & PTO.

Pay

$240K – $300K base salary, depending on experience.

Schedule

Hybrid work in the office in Williamsburg, Brooklyn ~3× per week.
