A Day in the Life

The Vice President of Operations is responsible for leading and overseeing the day-to-day operations of Lendistry Insurance Fulfillment Team (“LIFT”), ensuring operational excellence, scalability, regulatory compliance, and exceptional service delivery across the organization. This role is accountable for developing and executing operational strategies that support the company's business objectives while building the infrastructure, processes, and teams necessary for sustainable growth. As the operational leader for LIFT, the Vice President of Operations partners closely with executive leadership to establish operational priorities, optimize business processes, implement technology-driven solutions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. This position ensures that all operational functions—including policy administration, claims operations, customer service, compliance, vendor management, and other core business operations—operate efficiently and in alignment with the company's strategic vision. The Vice President of Operations also fosters a high-performing, collaborative culture by developing operational leaders, managing organizational risk, and ensuring the company consistently delivers outstanding service to its customers, partners, and stakeholders while maintaining compliance with all applicable insurance regulations.

What You’ll Be Doing

Short-term

  • Lead organizational implementation of the carrier’s main operating system (Equisoft) including keeping on schedule and within budget.
  • Implementation of the accounting system NetSuite into Equisoft
  • Oversee the onboarding and daily operations of the carrier’s outsourcing firm (Sutherlands)

Long-term

  • Develop and execute enterprise operational strategies aligned with the organization's strategic goals.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to develop long-term business strategies, organizational priorities, and operational roadmaps.
  • Develop leadership talent through coaching, mentoring, succession planning, and performance management.
  • Leverage technology, automation, and data analytics to enhance operational efficiency and decision-making.

On-going

  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational effectiveness and business outcomes.
  • Lead multiple operational departments to ensure efficient, scalable, and customer-focused service delivery.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to streamline workflows, eliminate inefficiencies, and improve operational performance.
  • Partner with Finance to develop and manage departmental budgets, forecasts, and resource planning.
  • Ensure operational compliance with applicable federal, state, regulatory, and internal governance requirements.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and employee engagement across operational teams.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners, and vendors to support organizational objectives.
  • Identify operational risks and implement proactive mitigation strategies to support business continuity.

Your Areas of Knowledge and Expertise

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Finance, or a related field or experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive operations leadership experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years leading multiple teams and senior leaders within a complex organization.
  • Demonstrated experience managing organizational change, strategic initiatives, and operational transformation.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent executive presence and communication skills.
  • Extensive experience leading large-scale operational functions with a focus on organizational growth and operational excellence.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic initiatives that align operations with business objectives.
  • Experience implementing Lean, Six Sigma, continuous improvement, or other operational excellence methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and resource management.
  • Proven success building high-performing teams, developing leaders, and driving employee engagement.
  • Experience leveraging technology solutions, automation, and operational systems to improve efficiency and scalability.
  • Ability to analyze operational metrics and leverage data to drive informed business decisions.
  • Knowledge of governance, compliance, operational controls, and risk mitigation best practices.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills with executive leadership, business partners, and external stakeholders.

Compensation Range

The US base salary range for this full-time position is as follows: California: $180,000 - $200,000 annually. Texas: $160,000 - $175,000 annually. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum base salary for new hires for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by multiple factors like job-related skills, experience, and state of residence. Physical Requirements

This is a stationary position that requires frequent sitting (approximately 95%), repetitive wrist motions, grasping, speaking, listening, close vision, and the ability to adjust focus. It also may require occasional standing, lifting, carrying of 20lbs or less, walking, kneeling, bending/stooping, twisting, pulling/pushing, and reaching above the shoulder. Employees in this position must be physically able to efficiently perform the essential functions of the position.
