About the role

The Collier Companies is seeking a Vice President of Operations for an on-site role, reporting out of The Collier Companies Florida Home Office in Gainesville. The position oversees financial plans for each assigned region and ensures profitability with a focus on revenue growth generation versus expense control. The Vice President of Operations is responsible for motivating, developing, and holding accountable a talented team of Regional Community Managers and Regional Service Managers to consistently meet and exceed company goals and objectives.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and develop all regional managers while growing the team to perform more autonomously.
• Identify and communicate achievable goals and resource challenges to achieve goals with recommended solution options.
• Maintain awareness of individual markets to stay abreast of trends in leasing, staffing, product conditions, supply, and customer traffic influencers (ex. University enrollment and or large employer added to the marketplace).
• Be a leader by example. Foster communication, collaboration, flexibility, open frame, and a productive team environment in our communities and with corporate Home Office Team Members.
• Maintain up-to-date awareness of industry compliance, code, and legal issues.
• Oversee financial plans for each assigned region and ensure profitability with a focus on revenue growth generation versus expense control.
• Coordinate activities in such functional areas as property operations, financial planning, strategic market positioning, and product marketing.
