Summary The Vice President of Finance – Pricing and Analytics is a strategic business leader responsible for driving profitable growth through pricing strategy, commercial finance, and sales operations. Reporting directly to the SVP of Finance, this role is a key liaison to Sales, Product, Marketing, and Executive Leadership to optimize pricing, improve sales performance, strengthen forecasting accuracy, and ensure financial discipline across the pricing processes. This role combines traditional finance leadership with commercial strategy, using data-driven insights to improve revenue growth, gross margins, customer profitability, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable building financial models, influencing executive decisions, and partnering with sales leadership to accelerate business performance. Key Responsibilities ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Commercial Finance & Pricing Strategy Develop and execute enterprise pricing strategies that maximize revenue, profitability, and market competitiveness.Lead pricing governance, including discount approval frameworks, deal desk support, and pricing policy.Evaluate customer and product profitability to identify pricing optimization opportunities.Partner with Sales and Product teams on new product pricing, contract renewals, promotions, and strategic customer negotiations.Build financial models supporting pricing changes, margin improvement initiatives, and commercial investments. Sales Finance & Sales Operations Serve as the primary finance partner to Sales leadership.Lead forecasting processes for bookings, revenue, pipeline, and profitability.Develop and monitor key sales performance metrics, dashboards, and KPIs.Improve CRM data quality and sales reporting to support decision-making.Optimize sales planning, territory design, quota allocation, and incentive compensation in partnership with Sales Operations.Provide financial guidance on large customer opportunities and strategic deals. Process Improvement & Analytics Establish scalable pricing and commercial finance processes.Implement automation and business intelligence tools to improve reporting and analytics.Leverage advanced analytics to identify revenue growth and margin improvement opportunities.Ensure appropriate financial controls around pricing, commissions, and revenue recognition. Leadership Build, develop, and mentor high-performing Finance and Sales Operations teams.Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.Champion data-driven decision-making across the commercial organization. Education And/Or Experience Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business.MBA, CPA, or CFA preferred. 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, including commercial finance or FP&A.5+ years supporting sales organizations, pricing, or revenue operations. Skills And Competentcies Modeling skills: Creates and tests new analytical models. Modeling skills are also useful for creating financial models and profitability models that are easy to read and interpret. Experience developing pricing strategies and managing complex commercial financial models.Written and verbal communication skills: Works with other functions, managers, marketing teams and other professionals. Effective communication is key to collaborating with others and exchanging ideas. He/she should be able to explain finance and accounting concepts to non-technical individuals and vice versa.Computer skills: Advanced proficiency with financial modeling, Excel, CRM platforms, and BI tools. Working Conditions Traditional office environment with low-to-moderate office noise (computers, phones and business conversations).
