Based in Charlotte, North Carolina, this position plays a central role in financial oversight, reporting, and transactional coordination within a dynamic real estate lending environment. The role also provides leadership to entry-level team members and offers the opportunity to contribute to strategic growth through hands-on financial analysis and cross-functional partnership.
Responsibilities
- Direct daily finance and capital markets operations tied to loan trading activity, ensuring transactions are reviewed accurately and executed efficiently.
- Examine settlement documentation on a recurring basis to confirm completeness, accuracy, and alignment with internal expectations.
- Manage ongoing performance tracking and risk oversight for multiple portfolios, identifying trends and supporting informed decision-making.
- Partner with structured finance and related teams to help move transactions forward from analysis through execution.
- Prepare and validate monthly investor portfolio reports, making sure reporting is timely, organized, and reliable.
- Work closely with colleagues across accounting, treasury, loan originations, and asset management to support coordinated financial operations.
- Provide tailored financial analysis and reporting for leadership and stakeholders in response to changing business needs.
- Supervise and support finance staff, promoting accountability, development, and high-quality output across the team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a closely related discipline.
- At least 5 years of experience in finance roles with exposure to real estate or mortgage lending environments.
- Demonstrated background in capital markets, portfolio analysis, financial reporting, and budgeting activities.
- Prior experience leading or mentoring team members in a finance setting that requires strong attention to detail.
- Strong analytical judgment with the ability to interpret financial information and translate findings into actionable insight.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with SQL and lending-related financial systems is beneficial.
