VP of Finance
The Vice President of Finance at our client, a leading digital flooring brand, is responsible for the financial engine of the business. Key responsibilities include:
Accounting & Controllership: Ensuring GL integrity, monthly close, AP/AR, journal entries, reconciliations, and US GAAP-aligned reporting.
Financial Reporting: Producing internal P&Ls, balance sheets, cash flows, management reports, and board-grade financials.
Cash & Treasury: Managing cash flow, banking relationships, credit facilities, and working capital planning.
Tax & Compliance: Handling sales tax across all U.S. states, income tax coordination, state registrations, business licensing, and regulatory filings.
Audit Readiness: Maintaining audit-ready books and processes, regardless of formal audits.
Systems & Process: Overseeing the finance stack, evaluating, upgrading, and automating financial tools and processes.
Team & External Partners: Building and leading the accounting team, managing external partners such as CPAs, audit firms, tax counsel, bankers, and insurance brokers.
About the Role: The VP of Finance shapes the financial strategy and operations, ensuring the company remains profitable and efficient as it scales.
Qualifications: Required: Deep, hands-on accounting skills, QuickBooks Online experience, inventory and cost-accounting comfort, and a track record of building or improving finance functions. Preferred: Prior finance leadership experience, especially in e-commerce, D2C, or consumer products, and active CPA certification.
What You'll Own: The VP of Finance will own the financial health of the business, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, cash management, tax compliance, and process optimization.
Salary Range: $150,000 - $200,000 per year.
