Responsibilities
- Develop and execute financial strategies, drive forecasting and budgeting, and provide insightful financial analysis to inform the CEO and investment partners on strategic decisions.
- Manage the preparation of internal financial reports. Oversee all aspects of financial reporting, capital management, and cash flow management. Provide technical accounting guidance on complex transactions and ensure proper documentation.
- Assess and mitigate financial risks, ensure compliance with GAAP, oversee internal controls, manage commercial insurance policies and facility leases. Work with advisors on tax planning and ensure accurate and timely tax filings.
- Manage and negotiate property leases, purchase agreements, customer contracts and similar documents. Review or amend documentation, such as terms and conditions, to best safeguard the business.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting and credit/collections teams.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with vendors, banks, external auditors, tax advisors, and our internal teams.
- Partner with the senior leadership team of strategic plans. Provide financial guidance to other senior leaders in order to accomplish shared business goals.
- Manage organic and M&A activities to support growth initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; MSc/MBA is preferred.
- CPA certification required.
- Proven years of experience as a VP of Finance, CFO, Finance Officer, or similar senior financial leadership role.
- Expertise in data analysis, forecasting, and strategic problem-solving.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and attention to detail are essential.
- Exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Experience with M&A, organic growth initiatives, or investment partnerships preferred.
