VP of Facilities Development, Alpha (Remote) - $200,000/year USD

About the Role

Alpha is building a nationwide network of schools that deliver a full day's education in two concentrated hours through AI integration. This role ensures the methodical expansion of this model, overseeing the complete development cycle of new campuses—from site selection to operational launch. You’ll create frameworks that streamline each opening, making the process faster, more efficient, and predictable.

Responsibilities

• Render critical site determinations by assessing zoning, permitting, budget, and schedule viability through structured and AI-supported evaluation.
• Manage several school construction projects concurrently, directing construction managers, clearing obstacles, and guaranteeing delivery on time and within budget.
• Create precise, actionable capital project recommendations that align stakeholders on scope, cost, and delivery approach.
• Oversee vendor procurement, RFP processes, and contract negotiations with emphasis on velocity, quality, and budget discipline.
• Break down expansion procedures into discrete work components and create AI-powered frameworks that reduce cycle times and enhance predictability.

Requirements

• Verified track record managing at least one real estate development or construction initiative from site identification through launch with complete accountability.
• Background overseeing multiple simultaneous construction or capital initiatives with direct responsibility for schedules, coordination, and problem resolution.
• Deep working knowledge of zoning, permitting, construction, and vendor management, with capability to interact directly with general contractors, architects, and regulatory authorities.
• Confirmed ability to evaluate tradeoffs involving cost, schedule, and feasibility with transparent, quantifiable results.
• Experience refining or organizing complex operational processes (e.g., permitting, design coordination, construction delivery).
• Proven capacity to decompose intricate workflows into structured, replicable frameworks and refine them progressively.
• Documentation of leveraging tools (AI or other technologies) to minimize manual tasks, expedite decisions, or enhance delivery velocity.
• Strong ownership orientation with capability to function amid uncertainty and produce tangible results.
• Readiness and capacity to travel up to 60% to active construction sites nationwide and maintain on-site presence during pivotal development and launch phases.
• Presently based in the US and authorized to work without requiring visa sponsorship.

This is a full-time, W2 employee position with immediate access to benefits. All roles are year-long positions. The compensation for this role is $200,000 USD/year, paid weekly.
