The Opportunity
Fundview is a cloud ERP solution tailored for municipalities ranging from 1,000 to 25,000 residents. Our software manages finance, payroll, HR, utility billing, courts, permitting, code enforcement, payments, and reporting for hundreds of cities, counties, and special districts.
About the role
This role is specifically designed for someone who has successfully led sales efforts in the past, either independently or as part of a larger team. The product is proven with over 100 live customers, strong retention rates, and a multi-module platform capable of selling individual modules or the entire suite based on customer needs. The market is vast, with Texas being our core focus and active exploration of several new states. Sales come from disciplined outbound efforts, in-person visits, relationship-building, and RFP coverage. There is no inbound engine yet, and the team is small, with the opportunity to build and scale it.
What Success Looks Like
In two years, the following outcomes would indicate success:
- A fully operational team with a repeatable onboarding process
- An active pipeline in at least three new states
- A forecast in HubSpot that is trusted by the CEO, CFO, and board, with no need for adjustments
- New states won in each new state and a documented playbook for future states
- Significant new-logo growth compared to founder-led sales
- A motion that outlasts any single person, including qualification, demo standards, and cadence discipline that a new hire can implement after 90 days
What Your Weeks Look Like
Weeks are varied and demanding, involving:
- Qualifying and running demos for potential clients
- Mapping out which towns will be off contract next fiscal year
- Visiting city halls and meeting with finance directors, city managers, and council members
- Closing large deals personally and overseeing your team's progress
- Reporting weekly to leadership on the status of deals and the overall team performance
Who Will Thrive Here

- Experience leading sales teams, preferably in the public sector
- Proven track record of closing new-logo deals
- Experience navigating long-cycle, committee-driven, and procurement-heavy deals
- The ability to explain complex software solutions to non-technical stakeholders
- A strong understanding of CRM hygiene and follow-up strategies
- A commitment to continuous improvement and self-reflection
