About the role

The Vice President of Construction - Electrical will lead and grow our electrical construction organization, overseeing project delivery, operations, and technical strategy across industrial, commercial, mission-critical, and healthcare markets. This executive role is responsible for ensuring safe, high-quality, on-time and on-budget execution of complex electrical systems projects, strengthening client and trade partner relationships (including IBEW), and driving continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Provide executive leadership and strategic direction for the electrical construction division, defining goals, KPIs, and growth plans to meet company targets.
  • Oversee all phases of construction delivery for electrical projects—preconstruction, estimating, scheduling, procurement, installation, testing and commissioning—ensuring compliance with specifications, codes and standards.
  • Direct and mentor regional operations and project management teams, creating a high-performance culture that emphasizes safety, quality, accountability and collaboration.
  • Manage large, complex project portfolios including industrial, commercial, data center, mission-critical and healthcare/hospital work; ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within budget.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, general contractors, IBEW and other trade partners to secure repeat business and resolve contract or field issues quickly.
  • Own P&L responsibility for the electrical construction business unit, controlling costs, improving margins, and implementing performance reporting and forecasting.

Requirements

  • Proven Vice President or senior PM experience in construction with primary responsibility for electrical construction operations, P&L management and project delivery.
  • Years of progressive experience in electrical contracting or construction, including leadership roles overseeing industrial, commercial, data center, mission-critical or healthcare projects.
  • Experience coming from a company doing $50M in yearly revenue.
  • Deep technical expertise in electrical construction or general construction.
  • Proven track record managing large, complex projects and multi-site portfolios with budgets in the tens to hundreds of millions; strong commercial and contractual acumen.
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship for a non-immigrant visa.
