VP of Construction

About the role

POWERHOUSE is seeking a dynamic Vice President of Construction to expand, lead, and oversee large-scale commercial construction projects across its portfolio. This executive will be responsible for project execution, financial performance, operational efficiency, and team leadership, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Responsibilities

• Construction Operations & Executive Leadership: Lead and oversee the construction portfolio, providing strategic direction and accountability for project delivery, operational performance, profitability, and overall execution.
• Project Oversight: Direct large-scale projects, overseeing project planning, scheduling, budgeting, procurement, execution, safety and compliance, and closeout.
• Financial & Business Performance: Establish and monitor project budgets, forecasts, margins, cash flow, and financial performance. Identify risks, manage cost exposure, and implement strategies to protect profitability.
• Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and develop project executives, project managers, superintendents, and other construction personnel. Establish clear expectations, accountability, and performance standards across teams.
• Client & Stakeholder Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and other key stakeholders. Serve as an executive point of contact for critical project matters and escalations.
• Scheduling & Execution: Ensure projects are properly resourced and executed according to established schedules, contractual requirements, and client expectations. Proactively
