About Atria

The Atria Health Institute is a membership-based primary and specialty health care practice with a focus on prevention and longevity. We bring together a multidisciplinary team of renowned physicians to provide proactive, preventive, and precision-based care for Atria members and their families. We additionally engage in and support groundbreaking research in longevity science through the nonprofit Atria Research and Global Health Institute, which bridges the gap between scientific discovery and clinical application, using longitudinal data to accelerate medical understanding and improve health outcomes. Our mission is to make healthspan and lifespan equal for all by translating science into medicine in real-time, all while bringing humanity back into health care.

About This Role

Atria is looking for an exceptional VP of Communication to communicate Atria's unique position in the health care landscape as an integrated ecosystem that bridges precision prevention, personalized interventions, and academic research. Reporting to the Chief Content Officer and working in close partnership with our Chief Executive Officer, this individual will become one of Atria's most important storytellers — someone who understands our story, mission, and vision deeply enough to compellingly represent us in any room, to any audience. You will execute Atria's strategic media strategy, identifying and securing the right opportunities for Atria and our physicians through your meaningful relationships with legacy and emerging media.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and execute strategic communications plans that position Atria as the leading voice in preventive health care and longevity science.
  • Identify the media outlets, industry publications, podcasts, newsletters, speaking opportunities, and thought leadership platforms that will best serve our mission to democratize access to high-quality health information.
  • Build and maintain relationships with journalists, editors, and other influential voices in health care innovation, preventive medicine, business, and longevity science. You will become the trusted source for media professionals seeking expert physician commentary on emerging health care trends and scientific developments.
  • Secure high-quality placements for Atria and our physicians and leadership with an emphasis on consistent messaging and impact vs. volume.
  • Collaborate closely with our CCO, VP Content, and Director of Content Operations to align external communications with our editorial calendar and content initiatives.
  • Manage brand reputation and serve as the primary coordinator for our leadership team. You will prepare executives for media interviews, speaking engagements, and industry panels, ensuring consistent and compelling representation of our mission and values.
  • Lead crisis communications planning and execution, protecting our brand integrity while maintaining transparency and authenticity in all communications.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10+ years in communications or public relations roles, with at least 5 years focused on health care, science, or mission-driven organizations.
  • Demonstrated success building strategic media relationships and securing high-impact coverage—both legacy media as well as podcasts, speaking opportunities, and newsletters.
  • Proven track record developing communications strategies that support business objectives while maintaining our authentic brand voice. Experience managing communications for organizations undergoing significant growth or transformation preferred.
  • Strong writing and storytelling abilities, with experience creating materials for diverse audiences including media professionals, industry experts, and general public. Comfort with both traditional and digital media platforms.
  • Experience with content-focused PR and thought leadership preferred over product-focused communications. Background working with research, publications, or content-driven organizations is valued.
  • Excellent judgment in crisis communications and reputation management. Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining strategic perspective and brand consistency.

Benefits

At Atria, we are proud to offer every member of the Atria team: Excellent health and wellness benefits, 100% paid by Atria effective date of hire, OneMedical membership for employees & dependents giving access to 24/7 virtual care, Fertility & family planning, Company-covered preventive health screenings through partner hospitals (Calcium score), Fitness Perks including Wellhub +401k contributions and 4% match starting after 6 months, Flexible Time Off, Continuing medical education (CME) and CEU support for professional licensure, Time to give back and make an impact in underserved communities.
