VP, M&A & Transformation
About the Role
FIS Management Services, LLC seeks a VP, M&A & Transformation in Jacksonville, FL to run and manage Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) processes covering acquisitions, material minority investments, and divestitures. Responsibilities include strategic rationale, project management, due diligence, negotiations with vendors and bidders, and managing third-party advisors.
Engage in the market on behalf of FIS to build understanding of current M&A processes and longer-term market trends and themes. Communicate FIS strategies and priorities where appropriate. Form relationships with investment banks, private equity funds, management consultants, FIS partners, and customers.
Develop close relationships with senior FIS business executives to identify how M&A could support their business agenda, such as identifying acquisition and divestiture opportunities. Manage financial modeling to support M&A strategy and perform evaluations of specific opportunities. Support the FIS venture investments team and shape overall corporate strategy, working closely with the FIS executive team, lines of business, and functional areas. Prepare corporate strategy, M&A, and venture investing materials to support board of directors’ meetings.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field and six (6) years of progressively responsible experience in M&A transactions, including:
- Financial modeling and valuation analysis
- Due diligence management
- Negotiating and structuring M&A transactions (equity vs. debt, equity purchase vs. asset purchase)
- Strategizing and advising on M&A transactions (pipeline management, strategy development, target evaluation, divestiture, and sale assessments)
- In the alternative, a Master’s degree in the above-listed fields and four (4) years of experience in the above-listed skills.
