VP, Lead Compliance Counsel

Our client, a market-leading Automotive Manufacturer company is seeking a VP, Assistant General Counsel, Head of Compliance to join their legal team. This role reports directly to the General Counsel, and will serve a pivotal role in shaping global and domestic compliance programs, competition law, problem solving critical business decisions with senior leadership and C-suite, and maintaining a strong company culture.If you're an attorney with deep expertise in compliance, senior leadership counseling, and competition/antitrust law, send over an application. -----Location/Work Mode: Columbus, OhioStrongly Preferred: In-personPreferred: Bi-weekly travel Potential: Fully Remote-----Job Title: VP, Assistant General CounselBase Salary: $245,000 - $300,000 + Bonus & Long Term IncentivesJob Description:Oversee, manage, and modernize the company's worldwide compliance portfolio, advancing innovation, strengthening performance, and elevating operations.Work closely with the General Counsel and C-suite on critical business decisions, M&A initiatives, and transactional commercial strategy.Act as the company's chief legal advisor for antitrust matters, ethical conduct, conflicts of interest, and key regulatory risk areas.Master knowledge of the overall business and become embedded with executive, director, and C-suite level individuals as a trusted partner.Direct the management of regulatory bodies, engage/manage external counsel, and oversee internal investigations.Support the company's antitrust strategy and analysis for all merger and acquisition activity.Develop and uphold company-wide governance tools, including policy systems, reporting structures, and general risk mitigation. Collaborate across several different major business units to integrate legal, compliance, and antitrust/competition principles into routine workflows within the organization.Provide company-wide trainings and counsel different business units on various legal matters as needed. Requirements:J.D. from an accredited law school or university12+ years of legal expertise in both competition/antitrust and complianceExperience working closely with senior leadership & c-suite individualsExperience with the DOJ, Big Law, and in-house is preferred
