VP/Healthcare Underwriter - Radnor, PA

Banking, Financial Services, Private Debt, Leveraged Finance, Leveraged Lending,Cash Flow Lending, Healthcare, Credit, Underwriting Responsibilities Interacting with private equity sponsors, senior management teams, and other third parties to manage diligence work streams.Overseeing and managing multiple simultaneous transactions, with a focus on healthcare opportunities.Direction of deal teams to execute the underwriting process and review of junior underwriter work product.Analyzing historical and projected financial statements, including revenue drivers, margins, cost structure, working capital dynamics, and other cash flow items.Conducting a comprehensive review of 3rd party diligence and analysis of company operations, industry trends, and competitive dynamics.Composing and reviewing investment screening memos including company overview, industry overview, transaction overview, capital structure, investment thesis, key risks and mitigants, and financial performance including financial modeling.Participating in the presentation of due diligence findings to investment committee.Training and development of junior underwriters.Supporting general industry research regarding healthcare including reimbursement rates, regulatory changes, labor trends, etc.Supporting the origination efforts for healthcare transactions including early-stage evaluation of opportunities and composition of initial screening memos. REQUIRED Bachelor’s degree required; MBA, CFA a plus.8+ years of experience in a credit, corporate M&A, private equity, or investment banking role.Demonstrated ability to take on material responsibility in executing leveraged finance transactions.Direct experience with corporate lending to borrowers in the healthcare sector.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Team player with a positive attitude, ability to think creatively, highly driven and self-motivated.Strong attention to detail and a sense of urgency in synthesizing and communicating information.Ability to effectively manage and delegate to junior analysts.Expert level Microsoft Excel skills and advanced knowledge of Office Suite; CapitalIQ, Bloomberg, and AI tools considered a plus.
