Job Summary

EXL is seeking a visionary VP, Head of Responsible AI to architect trust across our enterprise AI initiatives. Reporting jointly to the CIO and General Counsel, you will accelerate AI adoption while embedding ethical, legal, and security guardrails in a data-centric operations environment. In a data-centric operations environment, this role serves as the bridge between technical innovation and legal safeguard — enforcing a dual mandate: accelerating AI adoption while minimizing systemic risk.

About the Role

The VP, Head of Responsible AI will lead the development and implementation of responsible AI practices within EXL, ensuring that all AI initiatives are aligned with ethical standards, legal requirements, and security protocols. This role will work closely with the CIO and General Counsel to integrate these principles into the company's operations.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and implement ethical, legal, and security guidelines for AI initiatives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures for responsible AI usage
  • Monitor and assess the impact of AI on the organization and its stakeholders
  • Provide guidance and support to other departments on AI-related issues
  • Stay updated on emerging trends and best practices in responsible AI

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Law, Ethics, or a related field
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in AI, data science, or a related field
  • Experience in developing and implementing ethical, legal, and security guidelines for AI initiatives
  • Strong understanding of data privacy laws and regulations
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
