VP, Head of Investment Accounting

Responsibilities

• Set strategy and priorities for Investment Accounting to ensure reliable reporting and governance
• Build and develop a high-performing team through accountability and coaching
• Own month-end, quarter-end, and annual close and reporting for invested assets
• Lead investment accounting policy and provide guidance for complex transactions
• Partner with senior investment leaders to align accounting outcomes with strategy
• Establish and maintain internal control over investments and audit readiness
• Provide executive-level insights on investment results for senior management
• Direct cross-functional initiatives to improve efficiency and transparency
• Own investment accounting technology roadmap in collaboration with IT
• Evaluate accounting implications for business growth initiatives and acquisitions

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience
• 12+ years of accounting or auditing experience, with 7 years in investment accounting
• 10+ years of management experience
• 5+ years in insurance/reinsurance or financial services accounting
• Preferred: Master's Degree, CPA certification, CFA, experience in statutory accounting

Pay

• $180,220 – $268,400 annually
