Job Description VP & General Manager Opportunity at Western Architectural Openings, part of MITER Brands Compensation Range: $210,000-$260,000 (depending on experience) MITER Brands is seeking a growth-oriented Vice President & General Manager to lead and scale the Western Architectural Openings business. This executive leader will be responsible for the overall strategy, performance, and profitability of a significant business unit, with full P&L accountability and oversight of all commercial and manufacturing functions. The ideal candidate is a market-facing leader with manufacturing experience who excels at identifying and capturing growth opportunities, expanding into new markets and geographies, building strategic customer relationships, and developing high-performing teams. This individual will be expected to accelerate growth and lead the business into its next phase of expansion, with a focus on doubling the business’s size through organic growth, market penetration, product innovation, and operational excellence. The VP & GM will provide leadership across the Sales and Manufacturing functions and work closely with Operations, Product Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Customer Experience to align strategic growth objectives and deliver exceptional financial performance. Key Responsibilities Business Leadership & Growth Strategy Develop and execute a comprehensive growth strategy designed to significantly expand revenue, profitability, and market share.Lead initiatives to double the size of the business through customer acquisition, geographic expansion, market penetration, and product diversification.Identify and evaluate new market opportunities, adjacent product categories, strategic partnerships, and channel expansion opportunities.Establish long-term strategic plans that align with MITER Brands’ objectives and growth expectations.Continuously assess market trends, competitive dynamics, customer needs, and industry developments to drive strategic decision-making.Serve as the senior leader of the business unit, ensuring alignment of all functional areas toward growth and performance goals. Commercial Leadership Build and maintain executive-level relationships with architects, developers, glazing contractors, distributors, general contractors, builders, and other key industry stakeholders.Lead the commercial organization with a relentless focus on revenue growth, market share gains, and margin expansion.Develop and execute strategies to penetrate new geographic markets and customer segments.Champion strategic account management initiatives and personally engage in high-value customer relationships.Partner closely with marketing and business development teams to strengthen brand presence and demand generation efforts.Drive pricing, channel strategy, customer profitability, and competitive positioning initiatives. Financial Leadership Maintain full P&L ownership and accountability for revenue, EBITDA, operating profit, cash flow, and return on invested capital.Develop annual operating plans, budgets, forecasts, and long-range strategic plans.Monitor and improve business performance through effective use of financial and operational metrics.Allocate resources and capital investments to support growth initiatives and operational priorities.Drive disciplined cost management while investing strategically to support business expansion. Manufacturing & Operations Leadership Ensure scalable operational capabilities that support aggressive growth objectives.Drive Lean Manufacturing, operational excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.Optimize productivity, capacity utilization, throughput, inventory performance, and on-time delivery.Build a culture focused on safety, quality, efficiency, accountability, and customer satisfaction.Ensure operational readiness for new market expansion, increased production demands, and future acquisitions. Product Management & Innovation Collaborate with engineering and product development teams to identify new solutions that drive profitable growth.Ensure product roadmaps align with customer needs, market trends, and strategic business objectives.Evaluate opportunities for automation, digitization, and emerging technologies that enhance competitiveness. Organizational Leadership Build and lead a high-performing leadership team across commercial and operational functions.Foster a culture of growth, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.Attract, develop, and retain top talent throughout the organization.Lead organizational transformation efforts required to support accelerated growth and scalability. Supply Chain & Procurement Partner with functional supply chain leadership to ensure strategic sourcing and supply chain capabilities support current operations and future growth.Maintain and enhance supplier relationships, reliability, and cost competitiveness.Mitigate risks associated with supply disruptions and market volatility.Drive inventory optimization while maintaining industry-leading service levels. Risk Management & Compliance Ensure compliance with all regulatory, legal, environmental, and safety requirements.Protect company assets and promote effective risk management practices.Maintain strong ethical standards and corporate governance practices.Advance a culture of safety and operational discipline throughout the organization. Experience 15+ years of progressive leadership experience within manufacturing, building products, architectural products, windows, doors, millwork, construction materials, or related industries.Demonstrated success leading a business unit with full P&L accountability.Experience managing businesses exceeding $100 million in annual revenue; experience leading $250M+ operations preferred.Proven track record of driving above-market growth and successfully scaling businesses.Experience leading sales, manufacturing, product management, engineering, and supply chain functions.Demonstrated success in entering new markets and expanding geographic footprints.Strong customer-facing leadership experience with executive-level relationship management.Experience leading organizational transformation and growth initiatives.
