VP, Fullstack Engineer (Frontend Focus)

Job Summary

You will build and deliver user-facing applications that support risk and data-driven decision making. In this role, you will develop modern web interfaces, collaborate with backend engineers, and deploy solutions on Azure.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Build scalable front-end applications using React, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
• Develop reusable UI components and maintain them in shared component libraries (Storybook)
• Deliver production releases through CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Azure services
• Collaborate with backend engineers to design and integrate Python/Django APIs
• Monitor and improve application performance, including loading, rendering, and data handling
• Implement authentication and authorization across environments
• Write clean, testable code and contribute to engineering standards and code reviews
• Document technical decisions and mentor junior team members

Position Specifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
• 5+ years of professional experience in JavaScript development
• Front-End: Strong experience with React and TypeScript. Experience building production-grade UI applications. Hands-on experience with advanced data grid tools (AG Grid preferred), including server-side data handling and performance tuning. Experience creating and maintaining component libraries or design systems
• Back-End: Working knowledge of Python and web frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI
• Data: Experience writing SQL queries and performing data analysis tasks
• Cloud / Infrastructure: Experience working with Microsoft Azure, including services such as App Service, Functions, or Containers
• DevOps: Experience with modern build tools (Node.js, Vite, npm workspaces or monorepos). Experience with CI/CD pipelines, including GitHub Actions
• Tools: Familiarity with GitHub and VS Code
• Additional Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical decisions clearly

Nice to Have

• Experience with Azure Databricks, including PySpark, Delta Lake, or workflow orchestration
• Experience working in financial services, especially risk management
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools or workflows
