About the role
The VP, Financial Consultant leads the financial guidance and wealth management services provided to clients. This role involves building strong client relationships, managing client assets, and guiding clients through various financial planning processes.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive financial guidance and wealth management advice to existing Schwab clients.
- Grow the practice through client asset consolidation, networking, and earning client referrals.
- Adapt and implement changes as market and business conditions evolve.
- Engage clients in discussions about market conditions, sound investing principles, and ideal wealth and long-term investment strategies.
- Manage wealth on behalf of clients including retirement planning, education planning, investment management, banking & lending management, insurance & risk management, and estate planning.
Requirements
- A valid and active FINRA Series 7 license required.
- Obtaining or acquiring FINRA Series 66 (63/65) license and Life & Health Insurance as required during tenure.
- Strong candidate should possess the ability to build strong relationships, engage clients, and exceed client expectations.
- Openness to manage wealth on behalf of clients and apply knowledge of the markets.
- Desire to provide an outstanding investor experience and further professional development in Wealth Management.

- Ability to build strong relationships, engage and encourage trust, and deepen the client relationship by applying a focused client communication strategy, and exceeding client expectations.
- Leverage Schwab’s team of specialists, Schwab advice guidelines, knowledge of the markets, and ability to inspire action to help clients achieve their goals.
- Passion for community engagement to share and engage clients in discussions about market conditions, sound investing principles, and ideal wealth and long-term investment strategies for their personal situations.
