About the role
The VP, Financial Consultant at Schwab is responsible for leading the financial guidance and wealth management services provided to existing Schwab clients. This role involves building strong client relationships, providing comprehensive financial planning advice, and growing the practice through client asset consolidation, networking, and client referrals.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive financial planning advice to existing Schwab clients
- Grow the practice through client asset consolidation, networking, and client referrals
- Manage wealth on behalf of clients including retirement planning, education planning, investment management, banking & lending management, insurance & risk management, and estate planning
- Adapt and implement change as market and business conditions evolve
- Leverage Schwab specialists, Schwab advice guidelines, and knowledge of the markets to inspire action and help clients achieve their financial goals
- Engage and encourage trust with clients, deepening the client relationship through a focused communication strategy and exceeding client expectations
Requirements
- A valid and active FINRA Series 7 license required
- Obtaining or acquiring FINRA Series 66 (63/65) license required during tenure

- Strong candidate should have the ability to build strong relationships, engage clients, and exceed client expectations
- Openness to managing wealth on behalf of clients including retirement, education, investment, banking, lending, insurance, and estate planning
- Ability to adapt and implement change as market and business conditions evolve
- Passion for community engagement and sharing market conditions, sound investing principles, and ideal wealth and long-term investment strategies with clients
- Desire to provide an outstanding investor experience and further professional development in Wealth Management
