About the role

The role of a Financial Consultant at Schwab is to provide wealth management and financial planning advice to existing Schwab clients. This includes client asset consolidation, networking, and earning client referrals. The ideal candidate will have a valid and active FINRA Series 7 license, and may need to obtain or acquire FINRA Series 66 licenses and Life & Health Insurance licenses during their tenure.

Responsibilities

  • Provide wealth management and financial planning advice to existing Schwab clients
  • Grow your practice through client asset consolidation, networking, and earning client referrals
  • Manage wealth on behalf of clients including Retirement Planning, Education Planning, Investment Management, Banking & Lending Management, Insurance & Risk Management, and Estate Planning
  • Adapt and implement change as the market and business conditions evolve
  • Leverage Schwab specialists, Schwab advice guidelines, and your knowledge of the markets to inspire action and help clients achieve their financial goals

Requirements

  • A valid and active FINRA Series 7 license required
  • Ability to build strong relationships, engage clients, and exceed client expectations
  • Openness to managing wealth on behalf of clients including Retirement Planning, Education Planning, Investment Management, Banking & Lending Management, Insurance & Risk Management, and Estate Planning
  • Passion for community engagement and sharing market conditions, sound investing principles, and ideal wealth and long-term investment strategies with clients
  • Desire to provide an outstanding investor experience and further your professional development in Wealth Management

Qualifications

  • Obtaining or acquiring FINRA Series 66 (63/65) license and Life & Health Insurance licenses during your tenure on the job
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Knowledge of the markets and ability to inspire action
  • Experience managing wealth on behalf of clients
  • Ability to adapt to changing market and business conditions
  • Passion for community engagement and sharing financial insights
  • Desire to provide an outstanding investor experience and further professional development

Pay

Salary range is provided, and the role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
