About the role
As a Financial Consultant, you’ll combine planning expertise with a thoughtful approach to holistic financial guidance including investing, retirement readiness, and education goals—serving as a trusted partner who guides clients through life’s financial decisions with clarity and empathy.
You’ll start with a book of existing Schwab clients, giving you a strong foundation to build lasting relationships and grow your practice.
Training and Development
To set you up for success, you’ll complete our comprehensive training through Wealth Management University, a four-week virtual experience led by live facilitators, followed by an immersive weeklong bootcamp to connect with peers and learn from experts.
After completing Wealth Management University, your individualized development continues through hands-on training and mentorship within your branch. You’ll collaborate closely with your branch manager, experienced peers, and dedicated mentors who provide guidance tailored to your unique background and career goals.

Pay
This position offers a competitive base salary complemented by a performance-driven incentive plan, providing unlimited earning potential from day one. As you continue to build relationships and grow your book of business, your compensation will increase—rewarding your commitment and tenure in the role with greater earning opportunities over time.
Requirements
- A valid and active FINRA Series 7 license required
- Obtaining or acquiring FINRA Series 66 (63/65) license and Life & Health Insurance as it will be required during your tenure on the job
- CFP® Certification is a plus (If you have not obtained the CFP designation yet, we encourage your professional development with Tuition Reimbursement and our internal CFP Cohort Program)
Responsibilities
- Business Development: Proactively engage existing and prospective clients through warm outreach, consistent sales activity, and community engagement to grow relationships and support long-term financial needs
- Relationship Building: Build trust through focused client communication, strong follow-through, and collaboration with Schwab specialists to help clients progress toward their goals
- Investment Strategies and Financial Planning: Apply planning and investment knowledge across retirement, education, banking and lending, insurance, estate planning, and evolving market conditions
