VP, Financial Consultant - Burlington, VT

About the role

As a Financial Consultant at Schwab, you will be procured with the practice of existing Schwab clients, providing them with wealth management and financial planning advice. Over time, you’ll grow your practice holistically through client asset consolidation, networking, and earning client referrals.

Responsibilities

• Provide wealth management and financial planning advice to existing Schwab clients
• Grow your practice through client asset consolidation, networking, and earning client referrals
• Build lasting client relationships built on trust, respect, and shared financial goals

Requirements

• A valid and active FINRA Series 7 license
• Obtaining or acquiring FINRA Series 66 (63/65) license
• Life & Health Insurance as required during tenure on the job
• Pursuant to SAFE Act requirements, registration with the NMLS registry system and remaining in good standing for residential loan mortgage originations

Qualifications

• Ability to build strong relationships, engage and encourage trust, and deepen the client relationship by applying a focused client communication strategy, and exceeding client expectations
• Leverage team of Schwab specialists, Schwab advice guidelines, knowledge of the markets, and ability to inspire action to help clients progress toward achieving their goals
• Openness to manage wealth on behalf of clients including: Retirement Planning, Education Planning, Investment Management, Banking & Lending Management, Insurance & Risk Management, and Estate Planning
• Ability to adapt and implement change as the market and business conditions evolve
• Passion for community engagement to share and engage clients in discussion about market conditions, sound investing principles, and ideal wealth and long-term investment strategies
• Desire to provide an outstanding investor experience in addition to furthering professional development in Wealth Management
