VP, Financial Advisor
About the role
The Summit, NJ office of Wealth Enhancement is seeking a VP, Financial Advisor to join our team. This role offers a hybrid, flexible work arrangement and is responsible for managing existing client relationships, facilitating the financial planning process, sourcing and closing prospects, and mentoring and training team members.
Responsibilities
- Manage existing client relationships to WEG’s planning-based standard of identity
- Facilitate the financial planning process
- Discover a prospect or client’s values, goals and objectives
- Understand their current financial situation
- Engage them in the financial planning process
- Prepare and conduct annual reviews, including both planning and investment topics
- Ensure ongoing client support and communication
- Source and close prospects
- Proactively follow up with clients who have not implemented financial plan
- Create opportunities within your network
- Drive referrals from existing clients
- Mentor and train individuals on the team in technical areas of financial planning and client service
- Educate on the Wealth Enhancement Group planning process
- Educate on the overall financial planning matters
- Participate in Wealth Enhancement Group trainings, educational events, coaching programs, and proficient in advisor/client facing technology
- Adequately adhere to the Wealth Enhancement Group’s Corporate Communication Strategy and in good compliance standing
Requirements
- Requires a 4-year degree; business, finance, economics preferred
- Series 65 or 7/66 Advanced designation preferred (CFP)
- Insurance Licenses
- Substantial experience within the wealth management industry
- Possess excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills (both oral & written)
- Ability to manage multiple projects at once
- Engagement in WEG, broader community and active participation in financial planning community

We select our initial compensation target using national compensation survey data. When we make an offer, we then factor in things like tenure, performance, and geographic location to come up with the most accurate numbers.
