VP Finance, US and Canada (Market CFO)

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a VP Finance US And Canada (market Cfo) to join the team of a leader in the Retail & Consumer Goods space. This role will support financial discipline around P&L visibility, margin improvement, and business performance. You will partner with executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to improve planning processes, financial discipline, controls, and resource allocation. The position offers the opportunity to influence enterprise performance and scalable financial operations within a consumer-facing environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead CFO responsibilities including accounting, reporting, controls, FP&A, and risk management for the market
• Collaborate with US leadership to shape and enhance commercial strategy through financial insights
• Jointly manage P&L performance with Market GM, focusing on strategic execution and risk management
• Direct annual budgeting and forecasting aligned with strategic goals
• Oversee compliance with local GAAP and corporate standards through effective governance and controls
• Drive operational efficiencies and best practices, particularly in procurement
• Deliver insightful performance analysis and narratives to regional and global stakeholders

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field required; Master's degree or professional accounting qualification preferred
• 12+ years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, or business leadership roles within multinational environments
• 5+ years in senior management or director level with direct P&L responsibility and team leadership
• Strong understanding of financial drivers, contract management, and retail landscape nuances
• Proven track record in driving cost efficiencies and process transformation
• Experience in external representation and executive stakeholder engagement
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to motivate teams
